  • Developed new position of Business Integration / Plant Systems Manager in supported of CIO initiative to transform IT department from order takers to strategic business partners
  • Work with business leaders to understand their mission, and to embrace IT and understand its potential to add strategic value
  • Assumed control of, and successfully resolved, a large, over-budgeted MES implementation project
  • Integration included MES, SCADA, HMI, and labeling aspects of manufacturing process
  • Resulted in reduction of recall process and procedures in excess of 90%
  • Integrated Premium Standard Farms in Smithfield’s Plant/Product Costing Systems
  • Complete integration was completed in 90 days, resulting in a seamless, non-event for Smithfield user community
  • Led efforts to design and implement complete manufacturing system at Smithfield’s newly-purchased Grayson (KY), Plant
  • Systems included: (i) data collection, (ii) scaling, (iii) labeling and (iv) costing
