• As a Registered Nurse in Ophthalmology, I am responsible for providing high-quality patient care throughout the surgical process.
• In the pre-operative setting, I conduct patient interviews, assess medical histories, and perform vital sign checks to ensure patients are adequately prepared for surgery.
• During surgery, I assist the surgeon and other surgical staff as needed, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring the smooth operation of the surgical procedure. In the post-operative setting, I monitor patients' progress, manage pain and discomfort, and provide education on post-operative care and follow-up instructions.
• Additionally, I am responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records, ordering and inventorying medical supplies. This includes managing the inventory of surgical supplies, . I am also responsible for ensuring that all medical supplies are properly stored, sterilized, and tracked to prevent loss or misuse.

• I am also responsible of patient liaison to greet patients, assist with completion of paperwork; create, update, and maintain accurate patient files, update database system; confirm and reschedule appointments ensuring all appropriate parties are informed
• Responsible for Ophthalmic testing, including auto refraction, visual acuity, topographical mapping, aberometry measurements, lensometry and eye dilation.

Lead Certified Ophthalmic Technician COT, responsible of supervising the work of a team of 10 technicians which are distributed around the three offices of the town , in case they need to clarify doubts regarding the correct filling out of the ophthalmological history, especially when it is necessary to perform a specialized examination such as gonioscopy, A and B scan biometry, extra ocular muscles examination, pupils assessment, evaluation of anterior chamber angle before dilation, Intraocular pressure check with Goldman Tonometer, Insertion of Punctum plugs, in order to prepare the patients before the Ophthalmologist enters to the exam room, maintaining this way a faster flow of patients in the clinic
