Miracle Otis

• At Mdinning, students and employees at the University of Michigan are trained in various ways to obtain skills, such as understanding the basics of food safety, and being proficient at it. Afterwards, employees are trained in serving, along with helping to assist with prep work for various dishes that will be later served to university students during dining hall hours.
• During that time, after I received my training, I worked at Oxford Dining Hall along with South quad dinning hall during spring break, and gained experience with how to serve food, making sure I understood the appropriate portion sizes, along with temperatures, and how some of the food was prepared, as I was also given multiple opportunities to help the chefs cook the dishes and prep them. I'm also proficient in closing because, as someone part of Mdinnings, I had to do tasks such as sweeping, mopping floors, and sanitizing tables of any germs, making sure the table and chair sets are back to their original state.

• Assisted Richton park Public Works Company in office work using the software SeeClickFix in order to contact residents on the requests they made.
• Organized files for Public Work vehicles
• Designed name templates for colleagues, which included their name, along with what field they work in.
• Gained knowledge on handling village residents requests on phone call and accurate note taking.

• Volunteering opportunities as an intern

As an intern for the village of Richton Park, I assisted in the event Resident Appreciate Day. During the event, all interns of each village department were assigned with a task. For my task, I helped out with decoration set up and food prep.

[August 2023]

During my time as an intern for the village of Richton park, I assisted for the resident event National Night Out, by setting up the tables and chairs at Glaeser park, food prep, and backpacks for the children who were going back to school.
