- As of May 2024, I was moved into the Patient Concierge/Biller position due to my position being outsourced to another company overseas.
- In this position, I've become the trainer for new hired Patient Concierges.
- Previously, I was the only hybrid Biller and Coder; as well as 1 of only 3 staff with knowledge of lab charge posting.
- Other duties included were account receivables, patient communication via phones, emails, and patient portal.
- I also created instructions aka 'cheat sheets' for new billing staff, front office staff, coders, and management to reference while learning the EHR/PM systems.
- I reviewed chart notes for the encounters of 5 providers, made coding corrections of ICD10 or CPT and/or modifiers, correction of insurance or patient demographic errors, etc, if needed, then submitted claims to appropriate payer.
- I analyzed and researched claim denials, insurance balances, and patient balances.
- I self taught processes in Nextgen EHR, PM systems, patient engagement programs, and payment systems. (DRC, Nextgen, Instamed, Phreesia, Clinect).
