KAPI'OLANI MEDICAL CENTER FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN

• This was a strike that lasted 2 months.
• Worked on Wilcox unit which is oncology pediatrics and ER department
• In Wilcox I was floor tech and unit secretary
• Vitals every 4 hours
• Assist with ADL including charging briefs and weighing them for the children still in diapers
• Assist set up chemotherapy rooms
• provide emotional support to both parents and patients
• play with children wgenwhenever possible
• ER ( vitals every hour, set up rooms for new patients and clean the ones discharged, transfer patients to different units)
• Run strep tests on GENEX machine,urine dip sticks, pregnancy test
• Restock and stock take inventory of supplies
• Run EKGs
• communicate with doctors or nurses on any abnormal test results or patients needs

• CONTRACT PER DIEM
• 7AM-7;30PM
• charting CERNER
• 1:1 sitter for 51/50 and SI PATIENTS
• Assistance with patient ADLs
• Helping feed patients
• answer call lights with timely manner
• set bed alarms on fall risk patients
• ensure patient at all times by making syre the bed is in the lowest position, call light is in reach of the patient, cords and lands are not hanging around, patient has right foot wear for ambulation
• Document every 2 hours
• Monitored vital signs and reported changes to nursing staff promptly for effective patient management.
• Reposition patients as indicated in chart
• Maintained accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Responded promptly to call lights, addressing the needs of patients in a timely and efficient manner.

• 7am -7:30pm shift

• maintain safe environment and bed alarms on fall risk patients
• Responds to patient calls within timely manner
• Maintains positive behaviors toward patients, and visitors.
• Maintains clear and organized patient rooms
• Assist with meals and feeding.
• Ambulation/mobility :
• Turn bed patients every 2 hours, transfers from bed to chair
• Ensures a safety of patient room
• Reports to the RN/Charge Nurse pertinent information, significant changes in patient condition, patient and family concerns, and patient refusal of care in a timely manner.
• Actively collaborates with the RN at the beginning and throughout the shift regarding patient care and data collection.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.

• 7AM-730PM DAY SHIFT PRN
• Patient care ADLS
• 1:1 sitter (trained in MAB) behavior, fall risk, suicidal, special care, etc.
• Perform ADLS
• Take vitals
• Document every two hours on the condition of the patient.
• Charting using the EPIC charting system.
• Repositioning patients
• Coordinates with RN, charge nurses, managed and other CNA
• Feeding patients
• Ambulation
• Passing trays.
• put bed alarms on fall risk patients
• Answer call lights
• Check on patients every 2hours and ensure they have call lights in reach
• Communicate with RN on needs of patient
