Location-warehouse Worker

Southpointe Wholesale
07.2021 - Current
  • I work in the warehouse part of Southpointe. I was hired to do picking; but I have worked my way up to do checking, boxing, and UPS. The orders come in on a sheet of paper called a “pick ticket”, and the pick ticket tells you what aisle and the exact spot and the exact medicine to get. When you get done with the order you put it on the checking table, unless it has a cage item on it and then you sit it on the cage cart. A cage item can only be gotten out of the caged area from the manager or the employee that has a key for it. The cage medicines are the drugs that are very addictive or the really strong medicines. Checking is when you scan every item that has been put in the bucket that has been picked, you then confirm it and then box the products and send it to the UPS table for it to get the UPS sticker to put on the truck. In my nearly year of working there I have worked very hard to get to the point I am able to do all of the things in the warehouse.
  • Consistently lifted materials weighing as much as 50 pounds.

Cashier/runner

Glasgow parks and recreation
05.2021 - 07.2021
  • I worked at two different locations as a cashier/runner; concessions at the city pool and at the baseball fields. I helped cook the food, make sure all the drinks were stocked and ready to be served to the customers. When there was a new employee I was put in charge of training them. I would also ensure that the customers were satisfied. At the end of the day I would count the money, close the registers out, wash all of the dishes, and made sure everything was ready for the next work day.
