Summary

Hello! My name is Morgan Steele!

I’m currently employed at Prisma Recovery Center. I am an MHT and we assist in the beginning stage of mental health stability and substance abuse detox. I love engaging and connecting with the patients.

As someone with mental health diagnoses, I can relate and connect in ways many may not be able to.

I am currently carrying the workload of 4 staff members. The patients often feel uncomfortable with most staff.

Ilove providing intervention and preventing further trauma.

I love working in mental health, substance abuse and “troubled” youth. I love to inspire hope, praise the confrontation and the start of healing. I genuinely want to prevent any further trauma and showing stability is possible. Not just possible, deserved.

I am seeking a position with good coworkers. People who feel how I do, enjoying what we do and doing our job. Not a team who treats it as “just a job” and creating feelings of distain or lack of care. I’m a very hard worker as well. I do not wish to milk the clock and watch my teammates struggle, as I do nothing. Teams and coworkers should function well. Work together. And do your job, not just gossip while avoiding duties.

I worked at the Sunlight House of Collier. Excellent idea, poorly ran and staffed. As a DV survivor I saw wonderful possibilities. I was met with lack of care for the women and their children housed at the facility.

I worked at Fort Myers academy, working as a night counselor. It’s similar to a juvenile corrections officer. I wish to instill hope, self worth and self love in the youth. I want to intervene in their behaviors before any monumental trauma or consequences occur. Again, staff had no desire to do their job and no care for the girls.

I am approved to work with or in DCFS and also have a level 2 screening in the system.

Licensed Driver

I was a stay at home mom for 5 years but have experience in working with dementia patients as an STNA. I am also a single mother of 2 children with autism. I’ve underwent quite a few courses to become better equipped on how to help aide in their learning and behavioral health. As in my resume , I have certification and training that aide in the field.

From ages of 12-17 I was a child in the system. I was in juvenile penitentiary, juvenile residential facilities and juvenile detention.

I am a survivor of DV and unfortunately, child trafficking that went into adulthood.

I have a lot of lived experience in the fields I’ve been a part of. Im not only able to provide connection and empathy, I love to.

Thank you for your time.
