- Turning patients, assisting with activities of daily living, assisting with toileting, ambulating and transferring patients, transporting patients, assisting with eating.
- Decluttering patient rooms
- Sit with lonely, confused, restless, nonaggressive patients, running errands for them and answer patient call lights
- Change linens or straighten linens for a patient, set up room for new patients
- Set up blood culture kits
- Disinfect all high touch areas of the unit immediately upon arrival to your designated unit as instructed by Infection control (Cavi wipe or Bleach wipe).
- Remove expired and soon to expire materials from the supply closets
- Replenish gloves (small, medium and large) in each room
- Restock all isolation carts with yellow gowns, gloves and masks
- Patient room dismissals; remove medical equipment to dirty utility room, strip bed of linens and empty soiled linen hampers
