Achievements:

• Launched a unified customer experience to enable Amazon customers to discover, compare, and select eligible financing offers when shopping on Amazon. This program enabled installments capabilities for 20+ products across 21 countries.
• Led the Implementation of technical artchitecture modernization for critical legacy systems into micro-services across 25+ payments engineering teams to improve on security, and and performance.
• Established strategic partnerships with Amazon International and Emerging Markets organizations to expand financial technologies to 7 emerging markets.

• Managing technical programs with cross-functional teams and external partners to drive stakeholder alignment and product roadmaps, scheduling, resource planning, dependencies and risks, and program communication.
• Resolving ambiguity and influencing technical designs for distributed solutions that are secure and scalable to support evolving business needs.
• Coordinated and launched 2 technical initiatives for core-branded credit cards in USA and Canada to increase customer acquisition and spend on and off Amazon.com.

• I worked as an Agile Coach and Cloud Evangelist in the Program Management Office (PMO) focused on:
• Driving the adoption of Agile Project Management - Scrum and Kanban.
• Team Collaboration for effective DevOps and System Reliability Engineering.
• Cloud Migration - building Serverless and Micro-service Architectures, and Cloud-Native applications.

• Facilitated research and development of data-driven financial solutions, using alternative data, for customers with thin-file or no-hit in credit bureaus.
• Designed and developed a Big-Data Pipeline to migrate the company's Data Warehouse to Google Cloud thereby reducing the annual data warehouse maintenance costs and license fees by over 30%.
• Championed the adoption of modern tools and techniques to facilitate DevOps and containerization - docker and kubernetes.

• This was a transition period during which I:
• Worked on processing of Work Permit and Visas for relocation to work with Tiaxa Chile.
• Oversaw the repatriation of Tiaxa hardware infrastructure from Tanzania to the Tiaxa Philippine office.
• Managed Project Closing phase for the projects in DRC, Ghana and Tanzania.

• Managed projects and key accounts for MFS initiatives in Africa with banks, regulators and mobile money operators.
• Oversaw product evolution, benchmarking and application of big-data analytics and machine learning for credit scoring and delinquency management.
• Coordinated development of proof of concept (POC) credit products with project teams spread across Africa, India and Latin America.
• Launched pilots for mobile loan products in DR Congo and Ghana within 1 year with 600,000 customers positively-scored for credit.

• Designed a MFS Aggregation API to switch transactions between Mobile Money Operators and Financial Institutions and provide a standard framework for developing digital products.
• Led the development team for a Mobile for Development (M4D) initiative for financial inclusion in rural Uganda that targeted 800+ Village Saving Groups, each consisting of 30 members. We developed a secure Group Mobile Wallet solution requiring multiple PINs to authorize payments. This reduced the risks and costs borne by the group officials to bank their cash by about 33%.
• Developed a Smartphone App to digitize meeting records and book-keeping for the informal unbanked savings and loans groups. This provided secure storage of data and increased group visibility to financial institutions for purposes of credit.

• Designed solution architecture to support multiple-currency in mobile wallets in DR Congo.
• Designed a service broker to enable MNO to support bank-led mobile money schemes in Nigeria.
• Trained and mentored 10+ junior engineers across 15 countries in Africa as our client expanded its operations.

• Deployed and upgraded 4 Mobile Money platforms in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Zambia countries during my first 12 months.
• Developed Integration APIs for to connect Mobile Money platforms to Banks, Funds Transfer Services and Payment Switches.

• Developed software sub-systems that integrated payment gateways with the core banking system.
• Developed ETL data pipelines for MIS, Business Intelligence and Audit.
• I was nominated to join a Special IPO Technical Team that successfully managed the bank's IPO in 2008.
