Street Run

• Interprofessional teams of student volunteers transport medical supplies in backpacks and provide diagnostic, treatment and counseling services to homeless people encountered on the streets and in need of medical care
• Each Street Run is supervised by a licensed healthcare provider
• Logistics are managed by the Street Run Director
• Street Runs occur twice a month and support an average of 40 patients in an evening, resulting in 1,500 unique patient encounters annually
• Services: Basic wound care Distributing items such as socks, soap and feminine hygiene products carrying OTC medications
• Continuity Clinic
• Health advice, wellness visits, prescriptions and over-the-counter medications, blood pressure checks, blood sugar measurements, hygiene kits.
