IOP TRANSITIONS: Establish IOP offices and onboard Phlebotomist into there new roles. Provide tools ,training, Equipment and Supplies. Go over entry of orders from requisition or pulling orders from database,managing standing orders. Verify test/client information and all written,electronic orders by use of lab technology system or directory. Enter billing information and collect payments when required

• Read,understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures
• Perform verification of patient signature post-venipuncture, verify tubes were labeled in their presence and name on label is correct.
• Perform department - related clerical duties when assigned such as data entry , inventory, stock supplies.

Phlebotomy : Venipuncture and or /Capillary, heel and finger sticks, blood cultures, time draws, Specimen receipt and Processing, Preparing specimen for transport, follow specimen Processing Protocol , and drug screening.

Floater : Float to all IOP/ PSC when needed ,Perform phlebotomy techniques on all ages , assist in multiple areas as workload and staffing changes.

• Collected blood samples using vacutainer tubes, tourniquets, syringes, butterfly needles, and straight needles.
• Collected blood samples in accordance with laboratory protocols and regulations.
• Performed venipunctures, finger sticks and heel sticks for both adult and pediatric patients.
• Verified patients' identification for proper sample collection.
• Reviewed and processed requisitions for laboratory tests.
• Handled insurance verification tasks using [Software] and [Software] to validate patient insurance information.
• Adhered to HIPAA standards and maintained patient confidentiality in all interactions.
• Labeled transfer tubes and followed exact directions for handling and storing specimens for transport.
• Completed proper sanitation and cleaning of equipment and work areas between patients.
