• 1-year community service volunteer at Pleasant Valley Elementary. The time spent there was working with computers and printers, as well as communicating with staff members on daily tasks that needed completing which helped build strength in working as a team as well as communication skills.

Beginning in my senior year of high school, I worked with Python and a small amount of Java, now, for the last year and a half, I have been practicing Java in my flextime.  With the knowledge I have in code, I have also begun studying ethical hacking and PEN testing.  I also have worked on TryHackMe and HacktheBox.

Growing up I always found myself outside, even on rainy or cold winter days.  Whether it was fishing on a boat during the summer or snowboarding at a resort in the winter with friends, I was there.  Programming became a big part of my life three years ago.  I first started in high school and then did it off and on throughout college.  I did not know what I wanted to pursue during the first two years of school, but everything always came back to IST more so Cybersecurity.  Photography I started this last May.  I have always had an artistic eye but could never translate it to paper or a canvas and found that it was easier to express through taking photos.  I have been working on trading for almost three years.  It was a way of me setting myself up for the future and creating a sense of independence along with a safety net or a plan B if schooling did not work out.  Fitness is a key component in my life, I believe that if you are not taking care of yourself, then how can you take care of your job and or company/organization?  Travel falls into the category of being outdoors, I enjoy new experiences as well as traveling the world and seeing what other people consider their daily lives.  I played just about every sport growing up, basketball, baseball, football, tennis, golf, track, etc.  I could never settle on one to commit to because I enjoyed them all as hobbies.  Learning languages has come fairly easy to me.  I picked up Italian from being around my family and relatives growing up, and I took 5 years of German, which I felt came very naturally.  Other languages I hope to pursue soon are Korean, Mandarin, and French.
