  • Performing routine malaria parasite cell culture with p.falciparum species, including wild-type 3D7 dihydroartemisinin, chloroquine, mefloquine and pyrimethamine resistant strains.
  • Performing routine mammalian cell culture with THP-1 human leukemia monocytic cell line.
  • Designed and conducted cell viability assays; growth inhibition assays; and lactate-dehydrogenase assays as part of the anti-malarial drug discovery process and successfully attenuating the growth of resistant and drug-sensitive parasites by arresting and killing infected red blood cells with antimalarial treatment candidate.
