06.2021 - Current
  • Managed 6 studies on Class I-III medical devices and sleep trackers for the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders, such as obstructive sleep apnea and chronic insomnia
  • Created clinician feedback reports for AmCAD-UO ultrasound device and ASLEEP sound-based sleep tracker. Presented clinical data based findings on design and technical issues to industry sponsor marketing and R&D teams. Findings demonstrated patient size affected user risk and image quality leading to numerous revisions to user manuals
  • Managed research project databases and developed study-related protocols, consent forms, and Case Report Forms (CRF)
  • Drafted Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions for initiation of new studies and regulatory compliance of ongoing studies
  • Primary contact for study participants for medical history interviews, taking vitals, obtaining informed consent, and conducting ultrasound scans
  • Delivered presentations on study-related updates during meetings with research teams, physicians, and industry sponsors

Undergraduate Researcher

USC School of Gerontology, Cohen Lab
08.2018 - 05.2021
  • Led research projects exploring the in-vivo and in-vitro neuroprotective effects of 2 novel mitochondrial-derived peptides, SHMOOSE and Humanin
  • Performed 30+ mice dissections and measured neurogenesis and amyloid beta formation in brain tissue through BrdU and immunohistochemistry assays
  • Used ImageJ and R Studio to analyze collected data sets
  • Trained, oversaw, and directed new undergraduates and summer interns in conducting various research procedures such as vibratome slicing, quantitative PCR, RNA-Sequencing, and cell cultures

Clinical Intern

Stanford Endocrinology Clinic, McLaughlin Lab
01.2018 - 08.2018
  • Used SYSTAT software to analyze differential gene expression trends in 55 genes for study on insulin-resistant patients pre and post-weight gain
  • Assisted in collection and preparation of fat biopsy samples for analysis of gene expression in adipose tissue cells
  • Screened patient records to recruit candidates for Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) device studies

Research Intern

Santa Clara University
05.2016 - 08.2016
  • Overhauled and assured quality of 50 mobile lab kits for Teach Biotech, a non-profit that brings hands-on bioengineering, microbiology, and biotechnology labs to over 8,000 Bay Area students
