Isolation, Identification and characterization of petroleum hydrocarbon degrading microorganisms from oil contaminated soil., This research showed that Bacillus and Pseudomonas species are the potent oil degraders and can be used to remove oil from the oil spillage site. Exploring the potential of biosurfactants in heavy metal remediation and its antiadhesive property, This study showed that Bacillus and Pseudomonas species could be effectively used as bioremediation tool in removal of toxic heavy metal such as Chromium (VI) and Lead (II) from industrial waste water. Biosurfactants produced by Bacillus and Pseudomonas species inhibited the adhesion of different strains isolated from contact lens. Hence, antiadhesive nature of biosurfactants was confirmed.
