Summary

I have a strong sense of work ethics as shown during my time at At Home with working/helping in other areas of the store and how I took care of the Art section during my time as Area Supervisor, as well as working with other to get American Freight's stockrooms organized to make work easier. I am very cooperative and communicative with customers and coworkers, so that the environment will be easier and friendlier. I can be very flexible and can pick up on new things quickly.

Delivery Assistant and Warehouse Worker

I was initially hired to work on the delivery trucks as an assistant. My responsibilities included calling the customers to make sure that they were available for their orders, gathering the products for the orders and loading them into the trucks, talking with customers when we arrived (confirmation of items and location for items mainly being the topic), assembling/installing products if necessary, and cleaning out the trucks. I also worked in the warehouse when there were no deliveries or when it was not my turn to go with deliveries. My responsibilities included answering customer questions, putting items in customers vehicles, assembling furniture for displays, taking care of product trucks (furniture, appliances, mattresses to be sold), putting said product into the system then organizing it, taking out the trash, sweeping the floor and cleaning the bathrooms. I'm used to communicating with people whether it's at their house chatting with them while we build their furniture or at the store answering questions, along with helping Sales getting people more interested in the product. While I was there, I and the other warehouse worker managed to organized the entirety of the stockrooms. We separated the different types of furniture (dressers, bed parts, tables, upholstery, etc.) and even kept the same brands together within those groups. It was previously an absolute mess; but we made it in a way where if neither of us were there, anyone working there could find items easier.

When I first joined At Home, I was hired as a Cashier. My responsibilities were to check customers out, ask if they wanted the membership or card, putting back items that customers didn't want back on the shelves and keep the area around the registers stocked and clean. I was also asked to help stock crew when there was a delivery truck and they didn't have allot of people. Over time as I was showing initiative in helping the other sections of the store, I was switched to work under the Area Supervisor for Rugs. I was to help stock the rugs that came off the trucks, straighten up/organize the shelves and displays, help customers find and bring up rugs, rewrap any rugs that were returned in good condition or opened up, help the cashiers when ever they needed it and kept the area clean. After showing the initiative for a while and some convincing, I was promoted to Area Supervisor for the Art section. I kept the isles organized and clean, helped Stock crew with any Art products that came off the truck, worked with the other Area Supervisor and Managers when we need to change/add themes in the other areas, helped customers with any questions or issues and helped the Cashier area if they need more people or if there were allot of Returns. During my time at At Home: I liked helping out the other areas, I was pretty friendly with customers and co-workers and they commented on how easy it was to find items and areas for stocking in my area. I also helped gather orders for the At Home pickup system, I was familiar with the areas and using the Scanner gun to find the items.

During my time at the ClickList; my responsibilities were to collect the grocery orders, drop off the orders for the deli and meat/seafood sections, print out more orders, bring the orders to the customer and load it into their vehicle, and do the closing. If we were done early or we weren't busy, we worked in other parts of the store.
