  • Worked with 8 facilities, in addition to having a contract with the State of Oregon to perform delegations or teachings of tasks such as blood glucose monitoring, insulin injection, ostomy care, wound care. Served as the Director of Health Services, the Interim Director of Nursing or the Clinical Nurse Educator at multiple facilities. Conducted hiring/firing interviews, as well as counseling for probationary employees. Have extensive experience in creating inventive and effective individualized care plans- including complex behavioral care plans with instructions/training for staff to review narcotic and psychoactive drug use. Have developed and implemented many protocols, for example: skin care, constipation, medication use, dehydration, oxygen use, staff communication, narcotic disposal, psychoactive drug charting, behavioral monitoring, and alert charting. Ensure that records and transcriptions are compliant with federal, state, and county regulations. Provide training to personnel on such subjects as confidentiality, best practice methods, client-centered care, medication side effects, drug interactions, and when to call the doctor.
