Associate

7 Years
Walmart | 09.2016 - 09.2023

Oversaw operations in lawn and garden department.

Assisted customers with stocking inventory for water and indoor/outdoor plants in the garden center. Operated cash register efficiently while providing excellent customer service. Utilized pallet jack to transport inventory throughout the garden center.

I then transferred from Lawn & Garden to Claims.

My responsibility was to handle damaged, defective, or returned store merchandise. I managed vendor credits and processed hazardous waste and product recalls to protect inventory accuracy.

When Claims dept downsized, I got moved to Online Grocery Orders.

My responsibility was to fulfill customer digital orders. I navigated the store to pick items using a handheld device, stage orders in the backroom, and dispense them directly into customer vehicles or delivery truck. I then was asked to try out Produce area. I loved learning new things to adapt in my store. So why not?

My responsibility as a produce associate was to stock shelves, inspect fruits and vegetables for freshness. Culled bad items and assisted customers. Boxes to unload were pretty heavy, I was back to using a pallet jack. I also took the empty boxes back to the cardboard bailer.
