My responsibilities included, admission paperwork, billing paperwork, assessments, and care planning.

MDS’s with special consideration in mood, cognition, psychosocial well-being, behavior, and psychotropic medication use.

Working with physicians, Passport, DME companies, pharmacies, hospitals, other Skilled Nursing Facilities, and insurance companies.

Working with Hospice and local agencies to secure a safe discharge back into the community.

From March 2003-2007 I served as the Admissions Director. I worked with all hospitals, community agencies, doctor offices, and other facilities to coordinate potential admissions.

I was responsible for keeping the census at a healthy number by working closely with the Marketing Dept.

Finally I served as the Admissions Liaison ensuring that the potential admission was appropriate and needs could be met. Prepared family for all phases of a short or long term stay and what could happen if no longer appropriate for our existing facility.

I have earned the Above and Beyond Performance Award two years in a row as well as the Star Performance Award two years in a row. Also was part of Jcaho accreditation & part of a team relieving a facility out of jeopardy (Briarfield at the Ridge).
