As a Medical Assisting Instructor, I lead and mentor future healthcare professionals, creating a supportive and engaging learning environment. As the Lead Medical Assistant at a special needs elementary school, I managed a team of 10 medical assistants, ensuring seamless daily operations and high-quality care for students. I oversaw medication administration, emergency triage, and routine health checks, ensuring compliance with medical protocols and individual care plans. I trained and supervised staff, delegated tasks, and maintained schedules to support the unique needs of students and staff. Additionally, I collaborated with educators, therapists, and families to develop and implement care strategies, monitored inventory for medical supplies, and ensured a safe and nurturing environment for all. During my time as Lead Medical Assistant at Sutter Health Foundation, I played a pivotal role in organizing and conducting flu and COVID-19 vaccine clinics, as well as diagnostic testing for Yolo County during the pandemic. I managed staff for these large-scale events, ensuring efficient operations and compliance with health and safety protocols. I coordinated schedules, delegated tasks, and oversaw inventory to maintain seamless clinic workflows. In addition, I provided direct patient care, supported team members, and addressed logistical challenges in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. My leadership and adaptability were essential in delivering critical healthcare services to the community during a time of unprecedented need.

In my role as Lead Medical Assistant with the Sacramento Department of Healthcare Services during the pandemic, I managed a team of over 28 medical assistants while organizing and leading flu and COVID-19 vaccine clinics, as well as diagnostic testing, for the homeless population. I coordinated staff, handled logistics, and ensured the efficient and safe delivery of vital healthcare services. My responsibilities included overseeing inventory, creating schedules, delegating tasks, and providing direct patient care, all while addressing the unique challenges of serving underserved communities. My leadership and organizational skills were crucial in successfully managing large-scale operations during this critical time.
