• Conducted and trained on decisive action; assisted the Battalion S3 in planning, preparation, and execution of training plans; enforced tactical and Soldier discipline; supervised and assisted the training, and prepared the command post for orders, drills, briefs, and rehearsals
• Received and appropriately handled and distributed Operations Orders, Fragmentary Orders, and Serious Incident Reports; responsible for the health, welfare, training, and operational readiness of the operations section and staff.

• Project Officer that facilitated the consolidation and movement of 130 pieces of equipment from home station Armories to Camp Dodge Iowa
• Coordinated with the state Transportation office to facilitate the timing and density of loads for staging and onward movement to Camp Grayling, Michigan.

• First Sergeant of a 131-man Infantry Rifle Company supervising operations; responsible for the health, welfare, discipline, and training of all assigned Soldiers; oversees all Company administrative and maintenance matters; advises the Commander on personnel assignments, morale, and discipline
• Manages the promotions, planning, resourcing, execution of training, and employment of the Company; assists the Company Commander in command and control by implementing command directives, policies, and procedures; responsible for the professional development of 38 subordinate NCOs; ensures all Soldiers perform all duties safely
• Coordinated establishment of new training site gained through Professional relationships in order to provide the Battalion with a more financially responsible location that will save time and resources.

• Chosen above peers for Active-Duty Operational Support to assist in the deployment of 87 1-168 Soldiers with adjacent units within the state
• Mentored junior officers and senior enlisted Soldiers on Iowa Army National Guard systems and procedures in order for them to establish an effective knowledge baseline
• Facilitated the transportation and information dissemination process between deploying Soldiers and their gaining units, to include resolving pay issues that would have been overlooked.

• First Sergeant of a 131-man Infantry Rifle Company, serving as the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the commander and assists the Company Commander in command and control by implementing command directives, policies, and procedures
• When assuming First Sergeant responsibility, inherited over 30 delinquent NCOERs; trained NCOs to properly rate, and 90% of those evaluations were completed by the end of the training year
