Power System Planning & Wind Farm Integration Project

PowerWorld Simulator – Transmission System Design

  • Analyzed integration of a 200 MW wind farm into an existing transmission network using PowerWorld Simulator.
  • Performed base-case power flow analysis ensuring voltage limits and transmission line loading constraints were satisfied.
  • Conducted N-1 contingency analysis on 57 line and transformer outages to identify system reliability violations.
  • Designed new 69 kV and 138 kV transmission line connections to integrate the wind farm while maintaining secure grid operation.
  • Calculated transmission line impedance parameters using conductor spacing (GMD) and tower configuration assumptions.
  • Evaluated multiple right-of-way routes and conductor types to determine feasible interconnection points.
  • Compared transmission infrastructure costs and selected the least-cost system expansion while maintaining reliability requirements.

Transistor Amplifier Design - Electronics Laboratory, Designed and analyzed a Multistage amplifier circuit, Calculated DC bias point and predicted amplifier gain, Constructed circuit and verified performance using oscilloscope measurements.
