  • Managed a portfolio of capital infrastructure projects in and around the Angeles National Forest, San Gabriel Mountains National Monument, and San Gabriel River watershed.
  • Developed and nurtured strategic partner and stakeholder relationships, key to project implementation and success; US Forest Service, elected officials, community groups, tribal partners, non-profit organizations, local government.
  • Rose awareness of project goals and barriers (funding needs, implementation milestones, jurisdictional permits and approvals) through engagement of the Board, community groups, media, local, state and national advocacy.
  • Drove momentum of project implementation through detailed technical and operational direction, collaborative work with prime consultants, focused and informed engagement with jurisdictional agencies, passionate representation and collaboration within the agency, strategic partners and stakeholders, and the development of new State and Federal grant funding resources worth over $10 million.
  • Successfully procured complicated permitting requirements with multiple jurisdictional overlays; Caltrans, LA County, US Fish and Wildlife, CA Fish and Wildlife, State and local Water Quality Control Boards, US Army Corps of Engineers.
  • Maintained CEQA/NEPA adherence of capital infrastructure projects and worked closely with environmental consultants and Forest Service Resource Managers to retain and drive the environmental integrity of each project.
  • Managed and maintained project grant resources worth more than $25 million; reporting, reconciliation and amendments.
  • Developed tribal land acknowledgement for projects, including the renaming of one project, and facilitated relationships amongst multiple state recognized tribal representatives and indigenous lineal descendents of project areas.
