I received a Daisy Award at UNC when I was working in Pre-op at the Ambulatory Care Center. The wife of a patient nominated me. It was close to the end of my contract and I was unable to attend the Award Ceremony. I do not recall any spectacular treatment I gave. It humbled me because I was giving the same care I always do and it was recognized and appreciated by the patient and his family.
