Nylah Griffin

Hello, I go by Nylah Griffin and I attended Statesville high school all 4 years. I'm an A honor roll student and are always on top of grades. I will be attending Winston Salem State University in the fall and will major in Therapeutic recreation to become an Occupational Therapist. I have great communication skills and love learning new things. I also took the pharmacy technician class and received the certification of completion for that. I was motivated into caring for people because the lady I was raised by has always been a caring person and that really made life look differently and realize that a lot of people really needs care and reassurance. So I will love to be there and help others when I can.

I love cooking for my family. I usually cook different meals everyday. My mom used to cook a lot so I learned a lot from her. I have a park and track behind my house so I take that advantage to ease my mind and take a walk while listening to music. I play clarinet and cymbals. I was also in the marching band at my school so music has always been something that I love. I play and listen to music a lot. Painting is something I rarely do, but when I do it, I enjoy myself a lot. I usually do it when Im bored or really creative in the moment and that definitely helps create peace in my mind too. I love talking, especially when I'm comfortable and feeling good I can for sure talk about literally anything. That's also why I think working with others is my thing because I am very good at communicating.
