I Olalekan Olaniran Odenusi, am a seasoned Information and Data Management Professional with over 25 years experience. I am a tested team leader, team player and innovative problem-solver. I am also a creative solution developer with experience spanning several industries which include mining, medical, pharmaceutical, legal, education, retail and many others.

In all my years in Data and Information Management practice, I have come to realize that data and information are only as good as the systems that house and provide them. These in turn are dependent on the security of such systems. This realization has motivated me to explore security further. I am currently pursuing a Master of Professional Studies in CyberSecurity at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

ONGOING CAREER DEVELOPMENT EFFORTS:

The Cloud
I see the Cloud as the ultimate venue of all IT related activities. Right now, there is an awakening to the cloud. Within the next five years, this awakening will turn into a stampede into the Cloud.

This has motivated me to begin to study for relevant cloud certifications, these are:

2. Microsoft Azure Cloud Administrator
3. Amazon Web Sevices

I have actually obtained vendor-neutral certificates in the first two. I intend to explore AWS during the coming semester break.

Cybersecurity:

I am fascinated by the world of CyberSecurity. I am currently enrolled in the Master of Professional Studies in CyberSecurity at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

I have completed 60% of the course work. I currently have a Cumulative GPA of 3.5 which I intend to improve on.

User Experience / Interaction Design
As an application developer, I have an interest in User Experience Design. I have obtained a Diploma in Interaction Design and I intend to explore this exciting area further.
