Though I entered this job as a Live Visuals Specialist and would still describe myself that way, I also have the following responsibilities:

Projection Mapping to 274 LED Panels arranged behind and in front of the DJ as well as ceiling panels Spanning over the 700 person crowd.

Utilizing the Visuals Softwares Resolume Arena + Synesthesia.Live (adds audio reactivity to the typical toolset)

Lasers are operated through the Beyond Software.

Cryo requires safety knowledge and timing skills to enhance peak moments in a set.

Lights are performed through a GrandMA2 system.

Basic understanding of Audio tuning and CDJ hardware to assist the DJ's with sound check and adjustments mid-show.

As a part company owner of The Plant Guys (20%), I have assisted my brother in starting up his company. We now have 10 Ram 3500-5500 trucks each paired with a trailer of different specification. The company has grown to 22 employees at this time. I've learned how to take care of a team through leadership on tough shifts, empathy when a co-worker needed it, a strong eye for maintaining saftey, and the value in reaching true comradery as a powerhouse team after month of training new members.

I take lot of pride in planting unique plant varieties in aesthetically pleasing and functional formations. The job includes being an operator of a skid-steer, stump grinder, several small engine machines, and driving multiple truck and trailer combinations up to 44 ft long on a regular, day to day basis.

Receive all logos and animation files from the visiting musicians and prepare the files properly for the stage layout.

Operate effects and coordinate with the lights and lasers specialists throughout the concert to best enhance the performance cohesively.

Typically for 1-3 of the opening acts, I had the chance to utilize my own 2D and 3D art animations to display my work to an audience of up to 999 attendees.

*Life is Art cut their contract with the promotion company Sugar Society. I was then directed to work with the company Guerrilla Productions for a handful of shows at the same venue (BlackBox Charlotte) since. It is not as common now but I do still work here on occasion.

Stage Hand involved unloading all of the stage equipment from a rented uhaul van that had traveled from Raleigh where the company is based. Build the stage including rigging the Lights to the Trusses and raising them. Building the Custom designed LED wall Panel by Panel in the layout requested by the Headlining Musician. Then breaking down the stage and loading it all back up.

Serving food at the highest end restaurant in Santa Cruz County. Our clients were typically celebrating an anniversary, wedding, birthday, business meeting, catering to people on international vacations, or at times assisting a movie or sports celebrity. As a food runner, on days such as Christmas, 5 food runners would bring appetizers, entrees, and dessert out to up to 960 guests. The required skills that were most essential included empathy, memorization, professionalism, social skills, communication, timing/ prioritizing, and a true appreciation for the incredible cooking skills that I learned from the head chef and cooking staff.

Initially functioning as a Bartender and server, I eventually picked up shifts making salads and working as a fry cook to work double shifts here. Within 4 months I knew how to work every position other than management and Head Chef. I greatly appreciated the wholesome town and staff and felt responsible to do my part to keep them profitable while the restaurant was financially struggling through Covid impacts. It appears the restaurant has since closed. I put in my last 2 weeks of work and drove my RV to find a higher paying job in Santa Cruz CA.
