Capstone: Writing Turtle-I created a device for Seven Hills Foundation with my group to recreate The Guided Hands Device. Our goal was to make an affordable assistive writing device for people with fine motor skills. This was done using SolidWorks to design the handpiece and SLA printed using liquid resin and cured by UV. For easy and free movement, four bearings and a screw were attached using a drill as well as a tap and die kit. Our device The Writing Turtle and the Guided Hands Device were tested by people who performed several tasks using their non-dominant hands. Results showed that the Writing Turtle was helpful.

Surgical Tools using SolidWorks- Using SolidWorks, I created a Crile Hemostat, Tissue Forceps, Rake Retractor, and Traverse Retractor. Each component was created separately and then placed within an assembly document where several mates were utilized. I made detailed drawings for each assembly as well as individual components that included the necessary dimensions.
