The Victim Witness Program Director provides direct services to victims of crime and seeks to reduce the trauma of victimization. Some responsibilities include: providing victims with their rights, explaining the criminal justice system, providing referrals to Legal Aid, counseling services, and benefits from the Virginia Victims Fund. The program also assist in court escorts, courtroom tours, and available waiting rooms. The Director also preforms management activities such as training, recruiting, interviews, and insuring staff is meeting the job criteria.

The Victim Witness Program Assistant Director provides direct services to victims of crime and seeks to reduce the trauma of victimization. Some responsibilities include: providing victims with their rights, explaining the criminal justice system, providing referrals to Legal Aid, counseling services, and benefits from the Virginia Victims Fund. The program also assist in court escorts, courtroom tours, and available waiting rooms. The Assistant Director also preforms task of collecting and computing information into the Client Information System. The Assistant Director creates and maintains files.
