I am a sophomore in business administration at University of Bridgeport. I am seeking entry-level sales jobs for an internship for this upcoming summer. I developed office leadership skills during my time as a dental assistant. I have 6 years of customer service and retail experience and I am currently enrolled in classes to learn how to be a better leader for an organization.
Here at Chilean Orthodontics, I trained for my dental assisting license. I had many responsibilities including:
We would see around 60 to 80 patients a day. My typical schedule was Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Our two offices were located in Beverly, MA, and Nashua, NH; I worked at both locations as needed. I've done a lot of work with marketing for our company; I'm featured in many of our TikToks and other posts on social media. I also asked multiple patients a day for reviews and referrals. Another responsibility I had there was opening our Beverly office on our administrative days and taking emergency appointments and other small appointments not requiring a doctor. I was also responsible for maintaining the office's cleanliness and taking inventory.
As patients came in, I asked if they had any symptoms, had them sanitize and grab a new mask, and informed them of any updated policies.
I also had the responsibility of guiding patients to the correct entrance, or to the wing of the hospital they were looking for.
