Senior Airman Omega R. Ramolete, United States Air Force, distinguished himself by meritorious achievement as Access Control Point Watchstander, Roving Security and Fire Watch, Joint Task Force - Red Hill, Hawaii, from March 2023 to March 2024. During this period, he maintained positive control of government contractors, site visit groups, units utilizing Halawa Range for marksmanship training, permanent part personnel and many others at the Access Control Point of the Red Hill Bulk Fuel Storage Facility. His efforts manning and securing all access points ensured the control and monitoring of personnel entering and exiting six entrance points into the underground spaces. He supported the Navy Supply Systems Command, Fleet Logistics Center to ensure safe defueling operations of the Red HIll Bulk Fuel Storage Facility by participating in 24-hour operations, seven days a week for 8-10 hour shifts. He successfully completed 42 days of rigorous, specialized training including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, Life-Saving, Basic Submarine Firefighting, and emergency operations procedures in order to provide early warning and detection to Federal Fire and Emergency Services. Senior Airman Ramolete's professionalism, work ethic, and commitment to mission success greatly contributed to the success of the Joint Task Force - Red Hill mission; to safely and expeditiously defuel the Red Hill Bulk Fuel Storage Facility, while continuing to build trust with the state of Hawaii and the local community of Oahu.
