- Responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining the backbone of the DWDM optical network in one of the main ISPs in Iraq
- Participated in designing, installing, and configuring one of the biggest regional DWDM network in
- Iraq (80-channel GMPLS (Control Plane) network) with directionless add/drop nodes, with multi- direction nodes using 4-direction and 8-direction ROADMs
- The installation and configuration process are done independently (not by the vendor), and the maintenance of the network is a responsibility of our team
- Participated in designing, installing, and configuring transit fiber project (Interconnecting Turkey with Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, 96 DWDM channels GMPLS (Control Plane) network system , using 4-direction and 9-direction ROADMs)
- The installation and configuration process are done independently (not by the vendor), and the maintenance of the network is a responsibility of our team

- High availability for the management of the equipment using routed networks with OSPF, static routes, in addition to RSTP ring topologies
- Dealt with DWDM connections issues: o Linear effects (Dispersion, Attenuation, scattering) o Fiber issues and connectors and diagnosing using OTDR (Connectors losses and reflections, bends, splices)
- Experience with OTDR: o Hands-on experience with EXFO OTDRs, and their application iOLM
- Troubleshooting the fiber issues and guiding the specialized staff to fix it
- Experience with fiber probes: o Hands-on experience with EXFO FIP (Fiber Inspector Probe) using Connector Max 2 and
- Connector Max applications
- This test equipment helps in checking the patch cords connectors using standards

- For the technicians on using measurement devices, following the company’s standards, and providing them with a simplified introduction to fiber optics and DWDM
