Park Academy is a private school for students with dyslexia and other learning challenges including ADHD, executive functioning disorders, and challenges with working memory and auditory and visual processing. Many students with reading difficulties also face challenges with math.

• Initiated movement to middle school model mathematics program taking on all middle school mathematics instruction.
• Researched and adopted mathematics curriculum.
• Enhanced student comprehension by creating and implementing real-world, hands-on activities with scaffolds and enrichment.
• Created small group and one-on-one modified mathematics lessons for middle and high school students.

Oregon Virtual Academy was an online K12 public school.

• Instructed students online using self-created PowerPoint lessons and Blackboard Collaborate technology; monitored attendance and analyzed progress data in all subject areas.
• Assisted families with use of technology and provided student management strategies.
• Planned and implemented monthly in-person social events and twice yearly OAKS assessments.
• Mentored new teachers.
• National K12 online club leader.
• Held in-person recruitment events and online informational webinars.
