In high school, I enjoyed coordinating and emceeing monthly open mics, print-making, rock-climbing, and creating music with friends albeit through covers, writing songs ourselves, or just jamming. I also enjoyed participating in an advanced humanities course and being challenged in courses that promoted collaboration, critical thinking, as well as a well-rounded and holistic perspective. My foundation for interdisciplinary learning in humanities classes and passion for bringing creatives together motivated me to attend a college that would encourage me to pursue and maintain all of my interests. The jobs I've held have equipped me with a work ethic that makes me curious, organized, communicative, and well-adjusted. As I navigate college as a first-generation student, I continue to challenge myself with difficult and interesting courses while maintaining my creativity as well as finding ways to bridge the gap between both endeavors.
