Summary
I am looking to work in an atmosphere where people's hearts are filled with Jesus and where education is considered a ministry. A place where leading people, young and old, to Christ is our goal! I believe everything comes from our Lord and Savior and I love teaching that to my students. My lesson plans are Biblically integrated, but often, the integration comes while in the middle of teaching, un- planned. I bring 14+ years of teaching experience, 10 of which have been in Christian education, to CCS. I will use my outgoingness, helpfulness, dedication, and my faithfulness to our Lord and Savior, in whatever is placed in front of me.

- Conduct all new student assessments.
- Keep inventory, check-in/out procedures and order all textbooks/curriculum.
- Organize and implement our School Spelling Bee.
- In charge of all Iowa Assessment tasks such as ordering new testing materials, organizing and mailing testing documents back to BJU, inputting student demographics, organizing all testing materials for teachers, scheduling additional help for small group testing, emailing teachers with specifics, etc. .
- Assist in various tasks such as assisting with school tours, DRA training for grades K-3rd, help new teachers acclimate, assist administration in multiple tasks, and conduct morning announcements weekly.

- Developed a close-knit classroom where my students knew I cared for them while maintaining high expectations for behavior, assignments, social skills, respect, etc.
- Maintained an open line of communication with all parents and formed friendships as well. Taught several of my students twice (K, 1st)
- Kept strong relationships and friendships with all staff and administrators and always promoted our school to the community when possible.
- Created sight words for First Grade and implemented into our lesson plans
- Re-worked the Math scope and sequence for more efficient learning
- Wrote all new Writing lesson plans for First Grade based on Lucy Caulkins Curriculum.
- Introduced and implemented a version of Daily 5 to my team to help reinforce learning skills
- Homeschooled my own children twice a week as this is part of Spring Baptist Academy's hybrid model

- Used My Father's World curriculum to homeschool my son from Pre-Kindergarten through Second Grade. Lots of our lessons were hands-on experiences which kept learning fun!
- My Father's World is completely Biblically integrated lessons, which helped strengthen his foundation and cultivated his love and faith in Jesus. We enjoyed learning together! I am a first generation homeschooler and I have to say, I am so blessed to have had that time educating my son!

- Although I learned a lot and gained meaningful experiences, I regret that these children we not taught about Jesus. However, these experiences in the public school environment, made me realize that I wanted something different for my own children, in the future.
