Patrick Bassett

• Port security officers act as a visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions; they detect and report suspicious, unsafe or criminal acts at or near their assigned posts which may be a threat to the property, clients, guests or employees at the site
• Ensure the facility is provided with high quality security services to protect people and property
• Report safety concerns, security breaches and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing
• Build, improve and maintain effective relationships with both client employees and guests
• Answer questions and assist guests and employees
• Answer phones or greet guests / employees in a professional, welcoming manner

• Responsible for all safety/security operations, either at a smaller campus or for a designated shift, while also performing the duties of a Safety/Security Officer
• This includes workflow, problem-solving and assisting with staff scheduling
• Ensures the safety and security of patients, employees, visitors, and physicians within the boundaries of Legacy Health, and provides assistance to customers as an informational resource
• Ensures the safety and security of all property, including buildings, equipment and other assets located on Legacy Health property

• The Security Officer promotes a positive environment that is safe and secure for patients, visitors and staff
• They provide security services to protect the interest and property of Salem Health from criminal activity or loss
• They oversee parking to ensure a smooth flow of vehicle and foot traffic for all patients, visitors, staff and members of the public in and around the environment of care
• Provides physical intervention and restraint as appropriate to protect a person from harming themselves or others
• Performs other duties as assigned

As Volunteer

• Assist police and other civilian staff with inspecting, cleaning and servicing of police vehicles
• Restocking supplies and inventorying as needed
• Clerical and other duties as assigned
• SCMT (Squad Car Maintenance Team)
• Radar Reader Board Team

As Coordinator

• Assisting the Salem Police Department Fleet Officer in transporting police vehicles to and from maintenance locations, which occasionally involves waiting for maintenance to be completed as well as assisting with vehicle maintenance
• Additionally, Transporting sensitive documents to and from the Police Department and the District Attorney's office
• Other clerical duties as assigned as well as assisting others throughout the department

• Assist blaster in charge (Site boss) daily in all phases of blasting
• Design and implement blasting plans for federal, state, county, city and private blasting projects
• Load boreholes with various types of explosives, including ANFO, dynamite, cast boosters, bulk and packaged emulsions, detonating cords/lines, and electronic detonators
• Routinely utilizes seismographs and vibration prediction
• Usage of equipment including but not limited to; skid-steer loader, forklift, Ford F-150-350s with or without trailer, DJI drone and accessories
• Experience using hand and/or power tools such as but not limited to: leaf blowers, insecticide sprayers, knives, saws, rakes, shovels, wrenches, hammers, borehole trackers, and other grading instruments

Held positions of Host, Busser, Busser trainer, Server, dishwasher & prep cook

• Greet and seat guests in a timely and courteous manner.
• Provide excellent customer service, including but not limited to taking orders, answering questions, and assisting guests with special needs and/or disabilities.
• Cleaning tables, restocking side stations, cleaning restrooms, and other duties as needed.
• Clean dishes, and all other food preparation equipment.
