Performs quality assurance inspections on a variety of civil engineering and public works projects completed by the City, private developers, and utility companies, ensuring the projects meet appropriate City and industry standards. Also will work with the Project Manager to coordinate construction activities with contractors and the project team as well as attend various meetings to provide status updates and identify problems. Other duties include: monitoring quality assurance testing activities for placed materials (examples: concrete, asphalt, embedment/backfill of underground utilities, etc.). Reviews construction plans and completes daily inspections in MYGOV. Preforms final walks to ensure the project at hand has been completed properly per approved plans.

Skillfully and safely operates hand tools, axes,air compressors, jackhammer ,cutting torch and various weight hammers, lawn mowers, chain saws. Performs manual labor for street, drainage, and traffic maintenance, operation, and construction. Prepares streets and roads for paving; hauls, processes, and compacts road materials. Installs and repairs street signs, traffic signs and/or other types of signs for the city. Works indoor and outdoor in extreme temperatures including heat, cold, temperature swings, and inclement weather. Carries up to 100 pounds and pulls, pushes, or drags up to 150 pounds of repair equipment and precautions.. Kept all areas clean, organized and in line with company professional standards. Maintained or performed basic repairs on meters, retaining functionality and supporting longevity of equipment. Helped with emergency situations as substitute utility service worker to assist with service restorations. Answered in-hours and after-hours calls. Provides services to the general public when emergency conditions warrant it, either in preparation for, or as a reaction to, one or more disastrous events such as; a civil disturbance, hurricane, tornado, earthquake, flood, ice storm, fire, or other disasters which threaten the safety of the citizens.

Operates light and heavy equipment and various hand tools in the maintenance and construction of water distribution and wastewater collection systems. Primarily responsible for maintaining City properties and utilities. Performs a broad range of repair and installation tasks that are essential to the upkeep of all public utilities within the city. Responsible for maintaining City properties and utilities so they are clean, safe, and suitable for use by the general public. Ability to stand or walk for long periods. Walks in rough terrain and work in or over water. Performs all duties in accordance with policies, procedures, City ordinance, and safety rules and regulations. Class B CDL driver

Assists Store Manager with supervising, training and developing store personnel. Assumed responsibility for the store operation and commercial department in the Commercial Sales Manager and Store Manager's absence, on assigned shifts Assists with management of the Commercial and Hub Departments, (as applicable), to ensure commercial accounts and stores are serviced and deliveries are made as promised. Delegates and ensures store merchandising tasks are completed in a timely manner. Operates cash registers and follows established cash handling duties, including but not limited to deposits, petty cash and lane accountability.
