Sailing Camps and Clinics

  • Sailing Camp and Bay Buddies Camp, Session 2, 6/17 - 6/28/24: Both of my children, Camille and Ben, participated in last summer's sailing camps - Sailing Camp, Green Fleet Camp, and Bay Buddies Camp. We have already signed up for this summer's sailing camps.
  • Adult Sailing Class, 6/11 - 6/20/24: My wife, Courtney King, participated in the Adult Sailing Clinic offered last summer.
  • Green Fleet Spring 2025: My daughter, Camille, joined the FYC Green Fleet this spring and will soon be sailing in her first regatta, the Dogwood Regatta.

  • Saturday Spruce-Ups: Assisted in "Saturday Spruce-Ups" directed by Mike Nyden on 8/10/24, 10/13/24 and 12/30/24.
  • RS Aero US Ladies Championship, 10/6/24 - 10/7/24: Assisted Ellis Ollinger in safety boat operation.

  • Pot Luck Tuesdays - My family and I enjoyed several Pot Luck Tuesdays; our favorites included "Anything Chicken" Night (5/14/24), "Summer Favorites" night (5/21/24), "Americana" Night (4/24/24), and "Baldwin's Best" Night (6/11/24).
  • Porch Socials: We visited the club for several "Porch Social" nights, where we enjoyed meeting new people and listening to the music offered by the club, including The Balliwicks, Joe Austin and the Tallahatchies, and Kat Deal.
  • Halloween Trunk or Treat and Halloween Party with Journey2Marts, October 25, 2024: My wife and I visited the FYC for dinner and drinks and enjoyed the entertainment and conversation provided at the Halloween Party. Our son and daughter dressed up in their costumes, and we visited the Trunk or Treat offered in the parking lot.
  • Third Annual BBQ Cook-off, April 22, 2024: We loved hanging out on the beach and playing in the sand while enjoying some delicious BBQ and great music by Johnny Hayes.
  • Pool Visits: The pool is one of our favorite accommodations provided by the FYC. My children especially love going to the pool and playing with the other children. My wife and I have enjoyed meeting the other parents and grandparents who also bring their children and grandchildren to the pool regularly.
