Most recently I fulfilled the role as Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships and Programs at AAMA, a 501 C3 non-profit organization that empowers individuals to pursue their potential and achieve success. My responsibilities included the development and implementation of innovative and impactful programs and partnerships that helped to address the mental health, substance use disorders, communicable disease education, intervention and prevention needs of the Latino community, AAMA students and their families. I also developed and implemented annual program budgets, ensuring the optimal use of resources and alignment of program finances with each program's individual strategic goals and needs. A few of my achievements include securing several large multimillion dollar SAMHSA grants that allowed for a substantial increase in education, intervention, prevention and counseling services in many of the East End schools and the community. Was also successful in establishing strong collaborations with local universities to create strong alliances between AAMA and the universities, therefore enhancing student, family and community services. I am passionate about improving the quality of life and well-being of the Latino community, and I have a strong background in clinical, counseling, and applied psychology, as well as human services and substance use disorder counseling. I have multiple certifications in crisis counseling, life coaching, faith-based counseling, and anger resolution counseling, and I am fluent in Spanish. I am also a 5-time World Champion Bench Presser, demonstrating my commitment to physical fitness and personal excellence. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, and I value collaboration, innovation, and social justice.
