As Director of Nursing at Vi at Aventura, I am in charge of all clinical operations as it pertains to post-acute patients admitted from acute setting to receive rehabilitation services. I am currently in charge of managing care of 45 patients with post-acute and chronic diagnosis, such as post joint surgeries, COPD exacerbation CHF, Infections treatment management, Post CVA management, Dementia/Alzheimer management, wound care management, CKF and Liver failure management.

I am also in charge of ensuring Care Center compliance to state and federal regulation to ensure successful renewal of CMS/AHCA certification.

As Director of Nursing, I work in conjunction with interdisciplinary team to discuss plan of care as well as discharges of patients.

ICD10 code and Medicare reimbursement knowledge is also a key requirement needed for DON position.

As a Sepsis Navigator, I developed a new program to track and trend sepsis patients, in order to identify opportunities for improvement as it pertains to the use of sepsis bundle protocols and patient outcomes.

I also was in charge to facilitate a monthly meeting with ER doctors and Nursing Leadership to present the monthly finding and identify together new opportunities for improvement and staff education

As a sepsis navigator I also worked closely with the IT department to develop new BI reports and to develop a Sepsis Narrator within Epic EMH, for practitioners and Nursing staff, to better track and care for sepsis patients
