Duties, Accomplishments and Related Skills:
Responsible for the operation of the Post Subsistence, General Supply and Warehouse Sections. Assured an efficient safety program within the areas of responsibility.
Supervises 3 technicians, and 1 temporary ADOS employee engaged in support of the site to include subsistence, billeting, warehouse and building issues.
Responsible for the operation of the Directorate of Logistics warehouse. Developed and implemented programs required to provide maximum logistical support to using organizations conducting training at the site. Revised and updated the warehouse Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for procurement, storage, issue and return of property and supplies.
Received requirements/reports from various organizations for post, camp, and station property; subsistence; janitorial and housekeeping supplies; and other materials to support repair and maintenance of real property. Program orders to have supplies on hand when needed.
Direct activities pertaining to property accounting and responsibility, supply economy, supply discipline, and maintenance of pertinent records. Direct activities concerned with salvage and protection of supply items. Initiate and coordinate instructions to ensure the proper training of subordinates in all supply matters.
Responsible for the receipt, storage and release of materiel requisitioned and consigned to the training site by visiting training organizations.
Formulate the logistical support procedures covering the operation of activities under his/her supervision. Direct the publication, assemblage and distribution of all training site logistical directives, training site menus, maps, overlays, and telephone directives for training periods. Responsible for the preparation of all standing operating procedures, correspondence, requisition follow-up, invitation for local vendor subsistence bidding for local purchase documents emanating from the Training Site.
Establish procedures for the uniformed inventory of and issuance of subsistence. Supervised the turn-in of tens of thousands of dollars’ worth of excess materiel annually for disposition to the local DRMO facility. Ensured the periodic inspection and rotation of materiel in storage to eliminate deterioration and waste. Established procedures for the systematic issuance and turn-in of property at the beginning and closing of each training period. Provide each State concerned with a property loss report.
Responsible for the orderly issue and turn-in of cantonment area buildings, administrative facilities and equipment to organizations conducting training. Manages $5,000 in funds monthly for the procurement of logistical and administrative supplies to support the site.
Submitted requirements for site supplies and reports monthly expenditures to all branches. Responsible for the operation of the transient officers’ billets; and case collections of the training site.
Responsible for RFQs and submitting CRP Questionnaires, PRP Checklists, and Salient Characteristics to CFMO and DOL for funding consideration during the Acquisition Review Board.
