Fabricate, install and maintain firefighter breathing air systems (FARS) in commercial buildings. Duties include;

- Cut, bend and weld .065 and.083 Stainless steel tubing throughout high rise buildings.

-Troubleshoot any system malfunctions including leaks and electrical issues.

-Collaborate with building engineers on any system issues, and maintain close working relationships.

Test breathing air quarterly with sophisticated equipment to insure Grade D breathing air.

• Installed and maintained industrial piping fittings, valves, flanges and clamps to complete systems setup.
• Threaded pipes using piping machines.
• Followed safe work practices, which included fall protection and personal protective equipment.
• Read and interpreted blueprints, diagrams and other technical drawings to determine best installation methods.

Installed large pipe,valves and fittings in a laboratory high rise.

Used rigging equipment (chainfalls,winches and cranes) to install 6" - 24" steel pipe.

• Decommissioned steam systems at Stanford University and installed new hot water heating and coolin systems.
• Collaborated with demolition staff on projects from conception through completion.
• Coordinated with other tradesmen such as electricians, plumbers, and architects to ensure seamless project execution.
• Collaborated with fellow tradesmen for successful completion of complex projects on time and within budget.

• Drilled and cut holes in walls and floors to accommodate passage of pipes.
• Repaired sinks, dishwashers and other domestic appliances, removing clogs, and cleaning pipes.
• Worked with Back hoes, Bobcats,scissor lifts and other equipment.
• Performed basic and semi-skilled work under supervision and instruction from lead plumber.

• Built from scratch PTO concrete pump trucks,(Welded hydraulic and fuel tanks,plumbed hydraulic fluid systems, designed and fabricated custom bal valve manifolds and hoppers.
• Drove concrete pump trucks to and from each project site responsibly to meet job demands.
• Increased jobsite efficiency by coordinating with contractors and construction managers for proper concrete placement.
• Performed pre-trip and post-trip inspections of concrete pumps according to regulations and checked brakes and fluid levels.
