  • Strike Force 1 is a full time on call tactical team for the Commissioner of TDOC
  • The duties of this team include: any and all prison searches, vehicle searches, high-risk transportations, dignitary security, security of the Governor of TN and Commissioner of TDOC, serving of warrants, apprehending absconders and escaped inmates, riot control and assisting with local law enforcement and emergency management agencies
  • Additionally, I was the armorer for all of OIC, and I evaluated any computer technical issues and electronic equipment problems that we encountered while deployed on missions
  • I am very experienced with Microsoft Office programs and use them to create inventory protocol databases for the weapons arms room
  • My daily duties consisted of using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, transferring data to multiple computers and devices throughout a shared network to teach classes or to compare figures for inventory of equipment
  • To control sensitive items, I programmed a barcode scanning method of tracking firearms, ammunition, chemical agents, riot gear, and uniforms

  • I developed a unique computer data system to track weapons, malfunctions, and parts needed in the field
  • This system turned a 2 hour delay in issuing out weapons to personnel into a 20 minute process
  • I received one of my three AAM Army Achievement Medals for this system
  • My duties also consisted of helping the radio communication soldiers set up and wire radios for multiple grids while relaying coordinates to platoons of where the targets and objectives were from their location.

  • Installed and fused fiber for a statewide camera network to allow remote prison video networks to be monitored from central office in Nashville
  • Ran fiber, fused and installed equipment to contact map 2 prison fence detection systems (MCCX, RMSI) including programming of PLCs to monitor status and alarms of fence alarms
  • Converted an entire living unit’s door control (Unit 4 at RMSI) that operated on obsolete equipment, to new and state of the art equipment spending only $17,500
  • This would have cost the State of TN $108,000 from a contractor
