2016-2018 (Store 5794): Trained in a high-volume pharmacy in Delano, CA (approx. 4500 scripts / week) while improving store specific metrics (Point-of-Care, Immunizations, Customer Care). Given projects to improve district metrics working with district pharmacy managers. Seen marked improvements in most metrics. Promoted to manager in 1 year (Bakersfield, CA). Managed a 1700 script/week pharmacy with high emphasis on growth (typically 5% above planned per week)
2018-2023 (Store 5429): Relocated to Los Angeles and tasked to resolve an existing pharmacy issue with compliance with Board of Pharmacy (BOP) due to previous PIC operating practices. As the new PIC, I was able to improve and maintain compliance until the situation was resolved with the BOP. In addition, I focused on the criteria listed below to improve business needs.
Immunizations: Increased immunization of the local community (~20%). Lead team to focus on each patient as a possible opportunity who may benefit from vaccines and preventable diseases through engagement and leveraging technology and tools provided software and processes.
MTMs: Trained pharmacy technicians on how to utilize Outcomes and assist pharmacist.
Omni pharmacy approach: Focused team on outcomes, not on numbers. Utilized and leveraged opportunities on the following criteria: Immunization, OTC recommendations, MTM, adherence, delete reduction to positively affect patient lives.
Team development: Trained pharmacy technicians and pharmacists to produce positive outcomes in MTMs, vaccinations, and customer care. Trained 2 cashiers to become valued pharmacy technicians.
2023-2024 (Stores 5439 & 5435): Dual Pharmacist in Charge (Rite Aid) with two pharmacies in Los Angeles. Managing and acting as a pharmacist to ensure compliance, goal setting and achievement, and efficient operations during company store closures throughout the region. Maintain an increase in scrip count (~5%) and maintain a variance of inventory (+0.05%); also increased Immunization and MTM and other metrics at these locations.
