Working at Walmart has taught me different aspects in each department. I first started in apparel, folding clothes, and I excelled in that department until I wanted to learn more. Then I moved to stock 2, which I enjoyed it. We would start our shift and unload the truck, putting the products from the line onto the assigned pallets of the departments. Once the truck is done, we head out to break. We start zoning departments. Then, when we come back from lunch, we pull all pallets out to their correct department. I also learned how to sort the brake pads, which we call one touch, and I also learned how to sort apparel hanging. Within a week, I decided to become an M3 since I enjoyed learning the different things that it takes to become a Team Lead. I became Team Lead for consumables, but my goal was always to become Team lead for Stock 2.
I enjoyed working at Kohl's and learning the different aspects in each department. The shift I felt I excelled in was the morning shit. It involved working with the backstock and unloading trucks that had the new merchandise that was going onto the floors. I looked forward to all the crew meetings that we all had everyday and just knowing the goals the we had achieved.
I enjoyed working at Gray's Tax and Business Services for many reasons. I was able to learn basic clerical work, work with different computer software programs, and interact with a variety of clients in different industries.
