Middle School Tennis Coach
As a volunteer coach at my local middle school for 7 years, I dedicated over 500 hours to mentoring and training young athletes in various sports. My role involved developing weekly practice schedules, organizing team-building activities, and fostering a positive, inclusive environment. Clinical Shadowing Experience
Over the course of 150 hours, I gained comprehensive exposure to multiple surgical specialties, including Orthopedic, General, Pulmonary, OB/GYN, and Bariatric Surgery, as well as Anaesthesiology. This experience provided me with a unique perspective on the collaborative and interdisciplinary nature of modern surgical care. I observed a variety of procedures, learning about different surgical techniques and the critical role of anesthesia in patient management. This shadowing opportunity allowed me to witness firsthand the complexities of surgical interventions and the integrated approach required in the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative stages.
Research Assistant
As a research assistant in the University of Louisville Medical School's Ophthalmology Lab, I am actively involved in a cutting-edge project studying the effects of a novel eye drop developed in collaboration with Bausch & Lomb. My responsibilities include conducting experimental protocols, data collection, and analysis to assess the efficacy and safety of the eye drop. This position requires precise execution of laboratory techniques, meticulous attention to detail, and collaborative teamwork to contribute to potential breakthroughs in eye care treatment solutions.
