Employed as a medical case manager and performed the following duties:

• Provided client-centered medical case management services to clients living with HIV.
• Delivered support and advocacy focused in the following areas: (1) medical & dental; (2) medication; (3) financial; (4) emotional & mental; (5) nutrition & food; and (6) housing.
• Worked closely with clients, case management team, clinical staff, partner agencies, advocacy organizations, funders, and other resource providers to support positive client health and wellness outcomes.

Interned under LCSW, CSAC and performed the following duties:

• Assessed mental health needs to determine nature and extent of clients' behavioral and mental health challenges.
• Provided a therapeutic and non-judgmental counseling presence to individuals seeking mental health services. Implemented motivational interviewing techniques into each session.
• Facilitated weekly mental health support group for individuals living with HIV.
• Documented clients' progress and changes in mental health status in a detailed manner on EHR, WITS, and E2.

• Provide therapeutic massage to clients using safe, appropriate and effective techniques.
• Perform health history, create treatment plans, and complete SOAP notes on all sessions performed.
• Maintain client confidentiality and sensitivity to age and gender related issues during all client interactions.

• Experience in each of the 12 Core Functions of a substance abuse counselor, including: patient screening, assessment, intake, orientation, treatment planning, counseling, case management, crisis intervention, client education, referral, report & record keeping, and consultation with other professionals.

• Worked with Hawai'i Health and Harm Reduction Center to develop an online Opioid Overdose Recognition and Response training module.
• Communicated via multiple weekly tele-meetings with Workforce Development Team and HHHRC staff and coordinated project development accordingly.

• Created curriculum and lesson plans, focused on meeting physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of two to four-year-old children.
• Provided safe and fun learning environment for students to learn English, to explore their imaginations with lots of play, movement and art activities, while learning about the world and cultivating social-emotional learning.

• Taught creative writing to 5th and 6th grade students.
• Coordinated and supervised after school activities for 3rd-6th grade students.
• Provided students emotional support and guidance in social development.
