Concord Family Medicine with Juline Davis, APRN, Janie Boyle, APRN, and Dr. Eric Pollak: July-December, 2017
6 months of clinical rotation at this family practice with three primary preceptors and observed other providers as well. Elicited HPIs, performed physical exams such as physical, sick visits, and pre-ops. Initiated appropriate diagnostic tests to screen and/or evaluate the patient's health status. Assessed status of history, ROS, physical examination, and diagnostic tests and formulated a differential diagnosis and diagnosis and then formulated and implemented a treatment plan. Performed diagnostic testing within the office setting. Plans, teaches, and promotes, and managed physical and mental health from birth to geriatric. Built a great rapport with my patients and colleagues.
Family Physicians of Pembroke with Sarah Bell, PA-C: January 2018-April 2018
4 months of clinical rotation at this family practice with one primary preceptor and observed other providers as well. Same experience as my first clinical site but I further fine-tuned my skills and advanced my knowledge, started to solidify a primary diagnosis, implement and manage treatment, arrange appropriate referrals, fine-tuned documenting patient care accurately and timely, worked effectively and cooperatively with other members of the team, and started working more autonomously as if I was a provider already working at a family practice (all under the supervision and okay of my preceptor). These last two clinical rotations left me feeling confident and competent in the care that I would provide as a Nurse Practitioner.
