Summary

Dedicated Nurse Leader and Educator with 26 years of clinical expertise, driven by a profound passion for community service and the elevation of the nursing profession. I pride myself on being a high-standard practitioner who views "compliance" as the floor, not the ceiling, consistently working to exceed expectations in every facet of care and education.

As a passionate advocate for the nursing community, I am dedicated to modeling the "servant’s heart" in healthcare—mentoring peers and educating future clinicians to provide holistic, high-quality care. I have a proven track record in designing training that bridges the gap between complex regulatory requirements and practical, compassionate implementation at the bedside. My career is defined by this "servant leadership" philosophy, focused on inspiring interdisciplinary teams to find purpose in their roles while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and relentless service to the community.

Leadership

Came up with creative solutions to known problems and thought outside the box to offer innovative education and programs to save money for the healthcare system and improve patient care. I chose to follow the mission and serve patients best by training others to offer excellent patient care and see the person in the bed as an individual without judgement and with an ethical approach to healthcare. Over the years, I presented new equipment approved by the FDA, new procedures, new evidence, and new ideas to offer better patient care and improve satisfaction, to decrease healthcare costs and readmissions, and to improve employee engagement and morale. I have initiated new classes, brought in new products and procedures, worked with outside companies to improve products available and bring them to the system. I worked on campus, system and Trinity wide projects. I interviewed potential hires, reviewed new hires and worked on action plans as well as educational needs on action plans. I did payroll and PTO for the MCW Clinical Education team for several years. I participated in leadership meetings and actively created solutions for concerns and needs over the years I initiated training for and maintained records for certification reviews such as trauma recertification, neuro recertification, and participated in joint commission and ODH reviews- intentionally chosen to speak with reviewers as well as prepare paperwork and search for answers to questions. I looked at the lack of education offered for experienced healthcare workers and began a Critical Care Symposium and was able to procure funding, gather speakers, bring in revenue to our Foundation, have healthcare workers from 10 facilities outside of ours attend, and offer continuing education for and interdisciplinary team. The 2nd year of the symposium, I more than doubled the attendance, grew the attendance from outside facilities, and increased the support by other companies. At the request of the ICU Medical Director, I taught classes for each rotation of Physician Residents and Medical Students on end of life conversations and ACLS review. I taught interdisciplinary teams about what human trafficking is, how to recognize it in patient populations, and who to contact to offer the necessary care to that population. I routinely wrote policies and competencies as well as new educational programs.
