Clinical Experience

I started my career as a nurse in April of 2021 on a Transitional Rehab unit. I also gained experience on our Medical Rehab, Cardiac, and Stepdown units while floating. The skills and experience I have acquired are as follows: Patient care assessment; Monitoring vitals; Patient education; Medication administration (IV, IV push, PO, Gastronomy tube); Vaccination and Immunizations; IVAD access and de-access; Strait catheterization; Bowel programs; Tube feedings; Suprapubic catheters; wound care including wound vacs; central line care; Tracheostomy care; Tracheostomy and nasal suctioning; Collecting specimens for labs; Clinical leadership and supervision. In December of 2022 I started a new position as a GI nurse at Middlesex Endoscopy Center. The experience I have gained there is pre-op (IV insertion), intra-op, and post-op. I also have experience filling in as a technician assisting doctors to remove specimens with cold biopsy's, cold snares and hot snares. In addition I have assisted with epinephrine injections, tattoos, clips, cytology brushing, and dilation.
